Master Ensuite Updates
While I am still waiting to wallpaper and wainscot our ensuite, I have made a couple of quick (and inexpensive) updates.
When we built the house we were having a very hard time finding a light fixture that we liked. We ended up choosing a fixture that matched the bedrooms with the intention of switching it out in the future and repurposing that fixture in the basement.
In July we went to IKEA and bought the KRUSNING light fixture* to put in our daughter's walk in closet. After getting home (we live 8 hours away) we realized it was too big for the space and before she could even try to suggest using it in her bedroom I decided to put it in ours. After a little deliberation we decided that it looked best in the bathroom. It was so fun to assemble (you get to crinkle it yourself!) and super easy to install, I'm wishing we bought a couple more because I would love to put one in the foyer and another in our bedroom. *We opted to use the SINNRIK cord set with the fixture.
My next inexpensive update is brand new Turkish hand towels! I realize that I'm a little late to hop on the Turkish towel bandwagon, but I've finally come around. I went to Homesense and found some beautiful towels for $7 each. Then after walking around the store my husband found a pack of 2 towels for $7.99 that looked almost identical. The two pack was found in the kitchen section and were labelled "oversized kitchen towels" but after comparing them side by side I decided to go for the pack of two. I'm in love!
I also recently shopped from within my own home and moved around a few things. I added a couple of fake plants and pictures to the vanity in the ensuite and a couple more fake plants to the bedroom. I'm still shuffling a few things around to fill in the gaps but the house is coming together!
