I'M BACK!

I've been on a hiatus lately, but I'm back and more than ready to get back into a normal routine! So where have I been? Earlier this year my husband received a job opportunity with his current employer in a new city (7 hours away!). This new opportunity would allow us to be closer to my family (who were 14 hours away to only be 7 hours away) and give our kids plenty of opportunities they wouldn't have if we stayed in Regina. Meanwhile we had 2 houses to sell and a school year to finish out before all 4 of us could make the move.

My husband went off to start his new job and I stayed in Regina to get things in order for the move and let our daughter finish out the school year. Let me tell you, 4 months with 2 kids that miss their dad is no joke! We fit in a few visits along the way, I was so nervous to do an 7 hour (9 hours with all of the breaks, lol) road trip by myself with kids but they totally surprised me and were amazing little travellers....even in the worst highway conditions. In June we sold our rental house and quickly started to work on getting our house ready for the market. We finished up projects that had been lingering and it's finally hit the market! Send positive vibe this way. ;)

I'm sitting here, surrounded by boxes excited to get settled, explore our new city and catch up on family time. Once our house sells we will be starting a new build (that I plan on staying in for MANY MANY years...I'm done with moving). I am looking forward to designing our new home and documenting the progress along the way, I love the community we chose and I think it will be the perfect fit for our family.
